Markets Today: A 22-Year Bond High. A Bigger Picture for Bitcoin.

The Week in Perspective printed on a linen blind in a sunlit coastal reading room
Last week: September 21–27. Ahead: September 28–October 4.

Bond yields reached a 22-year high last week. Stocks still finished higher. As we look at markets today, both facts matter—and neither headline tells the whole Bitcoin story.

If “highest since 2004” got in your head, we get it. Your phone probably delivered that number more than once.

A worrying headline. A bigger picture.

The US 30-year Treasury yield touched about 5.53% on Friday, September 25, before easing. Higher yields can make borrowing more expensive. That puts pressure on businesses, households and markets—including Bitcoin.

But all three major US stock indexes finished the week higher, while oil fell Friday. The scary part was real. It just wasn’t the only part.

Take the emotion out of the headlines.

Now listen—we’re reporting the bond news because it matters. But we’re not letting one headline do all our thinking about Bitcoin.

This is why we built remi. We hear the news. We check the cycle. We put the headline back into perspective.

Notice the yellow color on the chart. That signifies Accumulation. In this September 28 capture, remi shows Bitcoin in that phase for 113 days. That’s the bigger picture we check when the headlines get loud.
