1. Introduction
Circadia LLC ("remi," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard information when you use our website, iPhone app, emails, and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
Information you provide directly
- Account information: your email address and password, plus the first name and experience level you choose during setup. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google instead, and you won't have a remi password
- Payment information: payments are made on checkout pages hosted by Stripe, our payment processor, which collects your card details and email address. For the founding membership prepayment, Stripe also collects your billing address to calculate applicable tax and saves your card as a payment method: by accepting the payment and renewal terms at checkout, you authorize that saved card to be charged automatically at $29/month, including applicable tax, starting one calendar month after launch until you cancel (see Sections 5–7 of our Terms of Service). We never receive or store your full card number or security code. We keep Stripe's reference IDs for your customer record, payment, saved payment method, and subscription, along with the amount and tax paid, your founding spot number, the version of the payment and renewal terms you accepted and when, and whether automatic renewal is on. If you turn off automatic renewal, we won't charge your card again, but Stripe keeps it saved with your customer record; email us at [email protected] and we'll have it removed.
- Optional founders verification: your Discord account ID, its link to your remi account, verification status and timestamps; see Section 4 for sharing and account-deletion handling.
- Communications: messages you send to our support team
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: the watchlists and alerts you create, your alert and notification settings, and a daily count of your score lookups. We also count page views, where visits come from, and page-speed measurements with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies or other browser storage and doesn't identify you. On our own servers we also record anonymous site events: the page, the referring website, any campaign tag in the link you followed, whether you're on a phone or a computer, and steps such as seeing the founding offer, using the demo, opening sign-up, clicking Reserve, or opening checkout. No cookie, IP address, or account is attached to these events; we don't record them if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal or if you've turned counting off for your browser, and we delete them after 13 months
- Device data: your IP address and browser information, which our hosting providers (Cloudflare and Supabase) receive with every request and keep in their logs
- Timezone: your device's timezone, so we can schedule notification emails at a reasonable local hour
- Browser storage: your sign-in session and display preferences, kept in your browser (see Section 5)
Score lookups
We keep a daily count of the score lookups you make so we can apply your plan's limit. We don't keep a record in your account of which tickers you looked up.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- Process payments, including automatic renewals you authorize at checkout, and manage your founding membership or subscription
- Send account and service emails, such as email-address confirmations (and up to three reminders if you haven't confirmed yet), password resets and security codes, and founding membership emails (such as confirmation of your payment and founding spot, and a notice when your prepaid month starts at launch)
- Send Bitcoin cycle alerts if you subscribe to them: an early warning when a phase change is approaching, the phase change itself, and new cycle lows. Cycle-alert subscribers also receive our weekly cycle letter and occasional product announcements, and can unsubscribe from all of these at any time
- Send alerts you set up for specific assets and, on paid plans, periodic check-ins about those assets, by email or through Discord or Telegram if you connect them
- Understand which features are used, from the information above, so we can improve the Service
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to serve third-party advertising.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records, which we retain for 7 years for tax compliance). Anonymous site events (see Section 2) are deleted after 13 months. Home Screen app adoption measurement also uses a random installation identifier in app storage to avoid counting repeat opens as new installations. It is not an email address or device fingerprint. Installation events are deleted after 13 months and honor the same counting opt-out and browser privacy signals. Confirmed app email signups are counted from existing account records.
How many watchlists, assets, and alerts you can keep active depends on your plan; see the plan comparison on our Pricing page and Section 5 of our Terms of Service. If you move to a plan with lower limits, watchlists and alerts above those limits are switched off, not deleted.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion: request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Opt-out: every cycle alert, weekly letter, announcement, asset alert, and check-in email has a one-click link to turn that email off. Account and payment emails, such as sign-in links and payment confirmations, are part of having an account and can't be turned off
- CCPA (California residents): right to know, delete, and opt out of sale of personal information (we do not sell data)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage via Supabase, and access controls limiting who on our team can access personal data. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you become aware of any security breach, please notify us immediately at [email protected].
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Each update takes effect when we post it here, and we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If an update materially changes how we use personal data you've already given us, we'll tell you by email or with a prominent notice in the Service when it takes effect, and we'll ask for your consent where the law requires it. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the updated policy.
